Russian robot recruiter Vera starts working in Middle East

MOSCOW, Jan 30 (PRIME) -- Russian company Stafory, a developer of robot-recruiter 134 million ruble Vera, has signed the first deal in the Middle East, a spokesperson for the Internet Initiatives Development Fund (IIDF) said on Tuesday.

“For the launch in the Middle East we presented an English-speaking version of robot Vera and offered new functions. Now Vera does not only work as a recruiter by handling resumes and holding phone and video interviews. For companies in the United Arab Emirates, artificial intelligence will tackle the tasks of involvement and adaptation of existing companies’ personnel, for example, conduct polls among employees,” one of Stafory founders Alexander Uraksin said.

Multi-profile holding Arloid Group was Stafory’s partner in the development of services in the Middle East.

The robot started recruiting staff for Russian and international companies at the end of 2016, and had over 300 companies-clients, including mobile operator MTS and bank Alfa-Bank, in 2017.
